Possible Hooks

The Caturae are known publicly, so it's okay to meta knowledge of their general existence, just don't go barging in somewhere without paying the toll. Getting involved is easy. Just use your creativity. Why do you want these jobs? Got an agenda? Just want riches, glory, power? Or maybe you're just attracted to crime and chaos. Whatever the reason be, have one, and if you're struggling on ways to break the ice and greet the Caturae to begin your journey, we've whipped up some prepackaged ideas for you to try out if something suits your fancy:

Direct Knowledge

You've heard the nightclub was a front for more sinister activity by an underground crime network and organization known as the "Caturae" faction. Common rumors suggest they are not to be trusted with their dealings in chaos, but ultimately they appear to generously reward loyal, useful, and diligent achievers with nearly any wish. While things seem to make less sense the higher in their non-existent hierarchy you try to dig, the situation certainly bodes well for lawless opportunity-seekers to gain the rapport to start pulling powerful favors from them. Scrolling through the nightclub's tomestone menu, you come across the secret glitching item knowing with one tap you will be whisked away to the underground, but is the risk worth the reward?

The Sneaky Sleuth

Frequenting the Astral & Umbral for a while (as patron or staff) you notice a pattern among curious individuals. They order an item that never arrives. They're told a visitor is waiting for them outside. They disappear, sometimes for a short time, sometimes for the whole night. Perhaps you've hid nearby to try and see where they're going to or coming from. You realize you may have uncovered a secret underground; however, you're at an impasse. The only way to learn more is to risk it yourself. Scrolling through the nightclub's tomestone menu, you come across the secret glitching item knowing with one tap you will be whisked away to the underground, but is the risk worth the reward?

On the Run

You're in trouble and you need a safehouse. Not just any safehouse, no, a real safehouse while whatever-it-is blows over maybe. Or until you get some assistance. It's well known that the Astral & Umbral provide a neutral zone and seem to have some good security. Situated in Shirogane, you figure they can at least keep trouble at bay (and the sekiseigumi) for a while. Work you way up the staff until you find someone in that nightclub manor and convince them you need absolute shelter from imminent danger, moreso, that you "need to disappear." Perhaps convincing the right person of your value and your need for immediate safety will lead them to hastily ask your name and tap something into the tomestone. You're about to be whisked away to the underground, but is the risk worth their sanctuary?

A Horrible Mistake

"That looks delicious!" Scrolling through the nightclub's tomestone menu, you come across the secret glitching item with no idea that one tap will whisk you away to the underground. Too interested in a rich, refreshing dark pumpkin stout, you tap away not thinking about risk or reward, just beer. Suddenly, you're told you have a guest waiting for you outside? That's odd, but you go anyway -- only to be kidnapped?! You're finally released at your new destination: an underground speakeasy and crime network. Oh no. You absolutely know you should not be here, but something comes over you and you start to feel at home. Feeding your curiosities, you realize the Caturae offer something of use to you. "... so, can I get a real Candlejack now?"

Friend of a Friend

(Requires a buddy who's already involved!) Accompany a friend who's clearly in the mix of it all to the Astral & Umbral for an evening of libations, they're open 24/7 to anyone that wants it so why not? Perhaps your friend has a hefty coin haul from a recent job but is sparse on divulging details, or they've been seen around shady kindred leaving you with questions. You know you want a part of it but don't know how to break the ice. Find the right words to speak, and suddenly your friend might realize you want in, and obliges. Scrolling through the nightclub's tomestone menu, your friend taps on a secret glitching item and enters your name. You're about to be whisked away to the underground, but is the risk worth the reward?
